Disclosure: DEXLaboratory is a paid adviser to XE Network and Edge Network and holds $EDGE. This is research, not investment advice. Pre-launch crypto can lose most or all of its value.

How to read the labels:
- LIVE: read from the public network or a market data source on the date given.
- DESIGN: the token design as of September 2026. Final values publish with the genesis configuration.
- TEAM: stated by the team, not independently checked.

## What XE is

XE is a new layer-1 network built for machines and AI agents that pay each other: an agent buying an inference, a device renting compute, many very small payments all day.

- Every account runs its own chain (a block lattice). Payments do not wait in one shared queue.
- No gas fees. Spam is held off by a small proof of work per block instead of a fee.
- Settlement is designed to be final in under a second. (DESIGN)
- XE is a separate network from Edge Network. Edge Network is the team's existing decentralised cloud and becomes an early user of XE.

## Where it stands today (LIVE, read 16 Oct 2026)

- Public testnet `testnet-0005` with core nodes in London, Frankfurt and New York.
- 115 accounts and 531 recorded actions at 12:34 CEST on 16 Oct 2026.
- Anyone can run a node, create a wallet, send and receive. A faucet gives 1,000 test XE a day. Test XE has no value.
- AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor) can connect to XE through its connector, labelled "in testing".

## $EDGE

- ERC-20 on Ethereum. Contract: `0x4EC1b60B96193a64AcAe44778e51f7BfF2007831`
- Maximum supply 60,000,000. About 40.85M circulating. (LIVE, CoinGecko)
- The original distribution dates to a 2018 public sale and has been fully circulating for years.

## The claim: $EDGE to XE, 1:1 (DESIGN)

- Holders send $EDGE to a claim contract. The $EDGE is burned permanently and the holder receives XE at 1:1.
- The window is three months from genesis. XE that nobody claims by then is burned.
- $EDGE that is not circulating (team, foundation, unallocated) does not carry over.
- $EDGE trading liquidity is withdrawn before XE starts trading, so the two never trade side by side.
- The genesis date, the claim steps and the official claim address come only through official XE channels. XE will never message you first or ask for your keys or seed phrase.

## Supply

At genesis (DESIGN):
- Up to 40.85M XE, all from claimed $EDGE.
- No team, VC, advisor or presale allocation. Founders who hold $EDGE claim on the same terms as everyone else.

After launch (DESIGN):
- New XE is created only when paid work settles on the network. The protocol has no other way to create XE after genesis.
- The emission rate is high while the network is young, to attract machine owners, and falls as paid volume grows. It is capped at 2% of circulating supply a month.
- 50% of every dollar customers pay buys XE on the open market and burns it. Once monthly inflows pass a published threshold, the split changes to 40% burn, 30% to machine owners in stable value, 30% to the foundation.
- At a lower XE price, each dollar buys and burns more XE.
- Modelled net supply growth is 3% to 6% a year while volume ramps. At scale the burn overtakes new supply and net supply shrinks. This is a model, not a promise.

## Team

- Joseph Denne, co-founder. Founded Airlock, a London digital agency (clients included the BBC, NBC Universal and Channel 4), acquired by Publicis Groupe in 2011. Founded DADI, which became Edge, and has run the network build since 2017.
- Will Lebens, co-founder. Co-founder and managing director of Airlock through the Publicis Groupe acquisition.
- Adam K Dean, CTO. CTO of Edge since 2017. Public open-source work since 2012 (GitHub @adamkdean), author of core Edge and XE tooling.
- Edge Network has billed enterprise compute customers for more than five years (TEAM; Edge does not publish revenue). Part of that demand is expected to move onto XE at launch.

## Valuation

- Live market caps for $EDGE and six peers (io.net, peaq, Aethir, Akash, Kite AI, Fetch.ai), with each peer's multiple of $EDGE's market cap: https://research.dexlaboratory.com/xe/api/prices
- At 1:1, $EDGE's market cap today is the starting value of the claimed XE supply. The comparison is illustrative, not a forecast.

## Risks

- Total loss is a realistic outcome for pre-launch crypto. Size any position for it.
- Launch execution: a three-month window and an account step can leave holders unclaimed.
- The claim contract runs on trusted controls at launch (a multi-signature wallet with an emergency pause), meant to be removed as the network matures.
- Paid compute volume has to arrive. If it is slow, emission outpaces the burn for a stretch.
- The legal structure for the token event is not final. Timing and mechanics can change until it publishes.
- $EDGE trades on Uniswap V3 and OTC. Size orders to the available depth.
